  • Andrew McCutchen went 3-for-5 and drove in a run as his team fell to the Reds on Friday.
Advice: He rapped a single to center to plate Steven Duggar in the third inning. It was the only run the Giants could manage in the 11-inning loss. The 31-year-old outfielder has been just okay in his first season with the Giants. He has a .257 batting average with 14 home runs, 53 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 119 games.

  • Andrew McCutchen hit a three-run homer to account for all of the Giants' scoring Wednesday against the Dodgers.
Advice: It came in the eighth inning off Caleb Ferguson, erasing the Dodgers' 3-0 lead. McCutchen has lost some fantasy value since moving to the leadoff spot. though he's hitting about as well as he has all year. While he hasn't been great, he's been really consistent, keeping his OPS steadily in between .750 and .800 for two straight months now.

  • Andrew McCutchen hit a leadoff homer and then walked four times as the Giants topped the Pirates 13-10 on Friday.
Advice: McCutchen scored three times. That's a nice change from the recent past, as he had scored a total of eight runs in 31 games since the beginning of July. The homer was his 13th of the year. He needs to pick it up a tad if he's going to get to 20 for the eighth straight season.
