    The Baltimore Orioles placed starting pitcher Tyler Wells on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with right elbow inflammation. The right-hander was scheduled to start Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins. Wells, 29, last pitched on Friday, and the IL move is retroactive to Saturday. In corresponding moves, the Orioles selected the contract of catcher David Banuelos from Triple-A Norfolk and designated infielder Livan Soto for assignment to make room for Banuelos on the 40-man roster.
