Dodgers notes: Miguel Vargas, Michael Busch, Bobby Miller, Miguel Rojas

Miguel Vargas wasn't at Dodger Stadium for his bobblehead night, and it doesn't look like he'll be returning anytime soon, writes J.P. Hoornstra at the OC Register. According to manager Dave Roberts, the reason is simple: Michael Busch is outplaying Vargas. It's likely that Busch will return to the minors when J.D. Martinez returns from the injured list as early as next weekend.

Dodgers minors: Gavin Stone, Walker Buehler, Ben Casparius

The big story on Sunday in the Dodgers minor leagues was Walker Buehler pitching in his first game in 451 days. The right-hander pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts for Triple-A Oklahoma City, which was covered separately on Sunday. Following Buehler on the mound, Gavin Stone was fantastic, allowing only a hit and a walk in six scoreless innings, with seven strikeouts.

Dodgers minors: Jonny DeLuca, Miguel Vargas, Roque Gutierrez

Saturday in the Dodgers minors saw a few standout performances from major leaguers this season, plus a stellar start by a 20-year-old in Low-A. Jonny DeLuca reached base four times in Oklahoma City's win over Round Rock. DeLuca was one of three Oklahoma City players with two hits in a win over the Round Rock Express (Rangers). Miguel Vargas and Yonny Hernández each had two hits, and Vargas made a nice barehanded play at third base in the eighth inning.
