A quality start from Brandon Woodruff led the Milwaukee Brewers to a 2-0 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday. Woodruff went six innings and scattered six Pirate hits while allowing no runs and recording eight strikeouts. Manager Craig Counsell then turned the game over to the bullpen with a familiar combination of Devin Williams and Brad Boxberger earning holds for the 7th and 8th, and Josh Hader nailing down a save in the 9th.
The catcher's two-run homer in the fifth provided all the offense, while the right-hander threw six solid innings to win for the second time on the trip.
The catcher spoke to the media for the first time since being suspended on April 5. His focus is on trying to fit in and help the team however he can.
