Louisville Bats opening day roster highlighted by 5 top prospects

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Opening day is on the horizon for the Louisville Bats, who begin the year against the Indianapolis Indians at Louisville Slugger Field on Friday, March 29 and Wednesday, the Bats announced their opening day roster. Among the 28 players who will begin the year with the Cincinnati Reds' AAA affiliate, five of the organization's top 30 prospects will open the season with the Bats. Pitcher Connor Phillips headlines that group as the Reds' No. 4 prospect, but he's joined by fellow pitcher Lyon Richardson (No. 14) and a trio of outfielders in Blake Dunn (No. 11), Rece Hinds (No. 16) and Jacob Hurtubise (No. 24).
