The Twins and Carlos Correa made a mutual decision that the shortstop will skip the World Baseball Classic for family reasons, with his wife expecting a baby during the tournament.
Mike Radcliff, who was scouting director for 14 of his 35 years evaluating prospects for the Minnesota Twins, has died after a four-year bout with pancreatic cancer. The Twins said Radcliff died in suburban Kansas City, where he and his wife kept their home. Radcliff was hired by the Twins in 1987 and became scouting director in 1993.

Gallo batted .160/.257/.380 with 19 home runs, 47 RBI and 163 strikeouts in 410 plate appearances with the Yankees and Dodgers.
