Nelson Cruz went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, and Jose Berrios picked up his first victory of the season as the Minnesota Twins won their fifth straight game, 7-3, over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday afternoon in Minneapolis. Eddie Rosario had two hits and two RBIs, and Max Kepler walked a career-high four times and scored twice for the Twins, who finished their eight-game homestand with a 7-1 mark.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Jose Berrios pitched six strong innings, Nelson Cruz had three hits and the Minnesota Twins beat the Pittsburgh 7-3 Tuesday in a game briefly delayed when an unauthorized drone flew over Target Field.
Shortly after landing on the injured list with shoulder soreness, Twins pitcher Rich Hill sounded much like fellow sidelined starter Jake Odorizzi did days earlier: If he had to miss time now to try to ensure he would be healthy come October, that’s what he’d do.
