Blue Jays Ace Alek Manoah Rips MLB Network Analyst Over Body-Shaming Comments

You can't mess with Alek Manoah's fastball on the field, and you apparently can't mess with it off of it either ... 'cause the Blue Jays ace absolutely eviscerated an MLB Network analyst this week after the guy body-shamed him on live TV. Anthony Recker, a former MLB catcher who's been breaking down players and games for the league's network for the past year, made the comments on "MLB Tonight" on Wednesday ... seemingly taking a shot at Manoah's 6-foot-6, 285-pound frame. "Show me you're willing to put a little more time in the gym," Recker said. Manoah caught wind of the remarks a few hours later -- and he was clearly pissed over them.

Catch '23: What MLB's Top 10 Catchers List Means for the Position

Last night, MLB Network concluded its annual Top 10 Right Now list of players at every position with its ranking of the best catchers in the league entering the 2023 season. Is Corbin Burnes really the best starting pitcher in the game? Are there really four third basemen who are better than Nolan Arenado?

Opinion | Blue Jays still have a hole to fill in their outfield

The Blue Jays are shaping up to be one of the best teams in the American League in 2023 but, with camps set to open in just over a week, their off-season shopping isn't done quite yet. There is at least one glaring hole on the roster that must be plugged before the Jays open the regular season against St. Louis on March 30. It's not the fifth starter's job, though that could be a major weakness with the erratic Yusei Kikuchi battling the ineffective Mitch White. It's in the outfield where the team is waiting to add its final piece.
