Fans from all over the country currently have hopes of seeing Roy Halladay(notes) under their team's Christmas tree, so it seems only appropriate that Toronto's towering ace plays a prominent role in a new holiday song from Canadian country singer Gord Bamford.
Goes the refrain in Bamford's simply-named "Baseball Glove":
" ... a genuine cowhide/Rawlings Pro Special/one autographed by Roy Halladay. if that's all I've got 'neath the tree Christmas morning/one gift will sure be enough/If I get a new baseball glove."
Santa usually doesn't ask for anything in return, so no truth to the rumors that Ruben Amaro and Theo Epstein were spotted strumming this tune in the lobby of the Indy Marriott.
