You’ll notice that I love the Yankees tonight. Did they score 20 runs last night? Yes. Is that the only reason that I like them tonight? No! Putting aside the impressive BvP stats for Stanton and Torres, Roark hasn’t pitched well to opposing righties. He’s currently allowing a .391 batting average to opposing righties with 10 extra base hits and six home runs in 69 at bats. Pairing that with a depleted Toronto bullpen in Yankee Stadium (aka THE hitters park), let’s return to the well tonight at hopefully, but unlikely, low roster percentages.
I went a little Yankee happy in this write up but I wanted to make it clear that I also love the Cleveland Indians tonight against Jon Lester. Lester has a 5.05 ERA so far this season. More importantly, his home splits are horrible. He has a 9.00 ERA at Wrigley compared to a 2.30 ERA on the road. Cleveland has 29 home runs on the road and are on a seven game losing streak. They will break that streak tonight with a win in Wrigley.
Jacob deGrom – New York Mets (vs. Philadelphia Phillies) DK $10,400 FD $11,700 Yahoo $58
deGrom has been on fire. Check out his game logs, they’re unreal. He’s averaging 27.5 DK points over his last nine starts. He’s maintaining a 1.67 ERA with a .173 batting average against. When does his regression come? I don’t know but I don’t think it will be tonight. deGrom has held the Phillies to a 1.29 ERA this season in one start with 12 strikeouts over 7.0 innings pitched. Will he do that again tonight? Well, the Phillies are banged up with Hoskins on the IL and Realmuto currently designated as day to day. Honestly, regardless of Realmuto’s status, deGrom is a safe bet for a solid outing tonight. I don’t think we’re in for another 12 strikeout affair but I do think we can expect a 7.0 inning, 7+ strikeout game. Roster deGrom with confidence against a hobbled Phillies team (at the moment). The Mets are favored at -127 with a 7.5 under/over.

Gary Sanchez - New York Yankees (vs. Tanner Roark) DK $4,300 FD $2700 Yahoo $11
Sanchez went deep last night totaling 29 DK points. You’ll notice that I love the Yankees tonight. Did they score 20 runs last night? Yes. Is that the only reason that I like them tonight? No! Putting aside the impressive BvP stats for Stanton and Torres, Roark hasn’t pitched well to opposing righties. He’s currently allowing a .391 batting average to opposing righties with 10 extra base hits, six home runs in 69 at bats. The streaky Sanchez should be able to use his bat speed and power to turn on one tonight. The Yankees are heavily favored with a 9.0 under/over.
Luke Voit - New York Yankees (vs. Tanner Roark) DK $5,000 FD $3,800 Yahoo $21
Luke Voit is a crucial part of a Yankees stack for tonight. He totaled 37 DK points in last night’s Blue Jays whooping. He has averaged 12.2 DK points over his last 41 at bats with five home runs. Don’t fade the Yankees tonight. They should be in store for another massive game tonight. Don't let their potential ownership keep you from investing in the Yankees!
D.J. LeMahieu - New York Yankees (vs. Tanner Roark) DK $5.500 FD $3,700 Yahoo $18
If stacking the Yankees, D.J. LeMahieu is just a logical investment. He’s leading off and will simply benefit from Yankee production. He’s batting .363 so far this season which is good for second best in the MLB. Tim Anderson leads the league at the moment with a .377 batting average. The Yankees second baseman has averaged 11.6 DK points over his last ten games and oh yeah, he totaled 39 DK points last night with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and three runs. Invest in LeMahieu for any type of Yankee stack.
Gio Urshela - New York Yankees (vs. Tanner Roark) DK $4,500 FD $3,000 Yahoo $14
Is anyone hotter than the Yankees third baseman over the last five games? Urshela has multi hit games in four of his last five and is averaging 15.6 DK points Roark has a 5.24 ERA in eight game starts and exhibits reverse splits. Roark is allowing a .391 batting average to opposing righties with 10 extra base hits, six home runs in 69 at bats. Gio Urshela, Luke Voit, Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres are my top plays from the powerful New York Yankees lineup tonight.
Gleyber Torres - New York Yankees (vs. Tanner Roark) DK $4,300 FD $2,900 Yahoo $16 **NOT STARTING**
Get this, Torres is 5 for 7 against Roark with a double and two home runs. Many of these Yankees have amazing BvP stats in small sample sizes. Considering their 20 run game last night, let’s return to the well. Roark and Toronto’s depleted bullpen has another tough night ahead of them. Torres has been held out for two straight games with a quad issue. I am expecting him to return to action tonight. Make sure to check the confirmed lineups but if he’s in, Torres becomes a solid cash/gpp play on tonight’s nine game slate. The Yankees are favored by -295 with a 9.0 under/over.
**Rotate to Tyler Wade who is 2B/SS eligible on on DK but only second base eligible on FanDuel. Yahoo has Wade at second base as well.**
Giancarlo Stanton - New York Yankees (vs. Tanner Roark) DK $4,400 FD $3,500 Yahoo $17 **NOT STARTING**
Last night our outfield play was on point. Ryan Braun exhibited impressive BvP stats and we took advantage of it! He homered in his first at bat. Tonight, we’re going to invest in another BvP stat indicator. Stanton has hit Roark very well over his career with a .222 batting average with four home runs over 40 at bats. Yes, the .222 batting average isn’t great but the four home runs in 40 at bats really got my attention. Stanton did not contribute in last night’s 20 run game but tonight, look for him to swing for the fences against a pitcher in Roark that he’s proven to be able to hit deep.
Mike Freeman - Cleveland Indians (vs. Jon Lester) DK $2,300 FD $2,000 Yahoo $7
With Cesar Hernandez out (paternity list), Mike Freeman carries significant value. At extremely low salaries around the industry, he could reach value with one swing of the bat. With a long ball or the right RBI opportunity, Freeman pays off at low roster percentages. I do love Cleveland tonight against a rapidly aging Jon Lester.
