CASH STACKS

New York Yankees (vs. Baltimore Orioles - SP Dean Kremer)

Note: Giancarlo Stanton was scratched from tonight's lineup.

The New York Yankees should be the most popular stack of the day against Dean Kremer and the Baltimore Orioles. The Yankees have already seen Kremer twice this season. New York totaled 15 hits, nine earned runs, and three home runs in these two prior matchups. Baltimore SP has a 9.49 home ERA. Kremer’s last start was against Boston where he allowed three earned runs over five innings. Aside from this start, his only other impressive outing was a six-inning win, allowing just one earned run against the Seattle Mariners the week before. I guess you could say Kramer is coming into his own as he has pitched better over his last two, but considering New York has already seen and demolished him two times this season, the Yankees have a significant advantage against the 25-year-old right-hander.

Other Option: Toronto Blue Jays

GPP STACKS

Baltimore Orioles (vs. New York Yankees - SP Corey Kluber)

If you don’t want to go with New York, or do you want to invest in a full game stack, the Baltimore Orioles are also a viable daily fantasy stack tonight against Corey Kluber and the New York Yankees. Kluber has now strung together three impressive starts. His best was against the Detroit Tigers where he struck out 10 batters over eight innings. Kluber has averaged 14.6 fantasy points per game over his last seven-game starts. The question is, are we past Kluber‘s first two horrific starts and onto his normal form or could he revert back to the Kluber of April where he allowed five earned runs over 8.2 innings against the Atlanta Braves and the Toronto Blue Jays, starting his season off on a horrible note. Kluber is allowing a 3.06 ERA but a 4.85 road ERA. Yankees SP Kluber has reverse splits! Right-handed batters have the only three home runs on the season against him with a .274 batting average over 73 at-bats. The Baltimore Orioles have seen Kluber once this season where he lasted 6.2 innings, striking out five Orioles, allowing only one earned run off six total hits. Baltimore is a solid GPP stack but I would say it is more likely that Kluber pitches another impressive game against a Baltimore team that has lost six of their last eight and are batting just .209 against opposing right-handed pitchers. Pointsbet.com currently has the Yankees favored at -186 with an 8.5 O/U.

Philadelphia Phillies (vs. Toronto Blue Jays - SP Steven Matz)

The Philadelphia Phillies are slight underdogs at +135 against the Toronto Blue Jays. This game has a 10.5 O/U. Although Toronto is favored, Matz will have a tough time against Philadelphia’s right-handed batters. Matz has a 6.52 home ERA and is allowing opposing right-handers to bat .260 over 106 at-bats. Over the month of May Matz has struggled, allowing a 7.20 ERA over two games. Toronto’s left-handed starting pitcher will have a tough matchup against JT Realmuto, Rhys Hoskins, and Alec Bohm (along with other PHI righties). These three batters are four, five, six tonight in Philadelphia’s lineup.
