MLB predictions 2018: Our World Series picks, standings and award-winners

Welcome to MLB opening day 2018! There’s a full day of action ahead of us, which means you most likely have a full day ahead of tinkering with your fantasy lineup, drinking something cold and maybe even eating a hot dog too. It’s opening day, that’s what you do.

Around here, opening day is also when we drop our predictions for the year ahead. Who’s going to win it all? Who will be MVP? Who will have a breakout season? Who will disappoint? First no-hitter? First manager fired? Yep, we’ve got all that. Heck, we’re even guessing how many homers Shohei Ohtani will hit in his rookie season.

Big things are expected of Bryce Harper, Mike Trout and Giancarlo Stanton in 2018.
