CASH STACKS

Tampa Bay Rays (vs, New York Yankees - SP Nick Nelson)

According to Pointsbet.com, the highest O/U on the slate belongs to the Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees matchup (9.5). The Yankees will be facing Michael Wacha and the Tampa Bay Rays will be facing Nick Nelson. Wacha has allowed a .324 batting average to the Yankees over 37 total at-bats. While the sample sizes are small, LeMahieu is batting .462 with three doubles in 13 at-bats against Wacha, and Clint Fraizer, Urshela, and Odor all have home runs against Wacha (over a one-game sample size). Nelson last faced Tampa Bay on Friday, April 9th (one week ago). He allowed four earned runs, off four hits, striking out three batters. Having just seen Nelson, I like Tampa Bay to continue dominating the 25-year old right-handed pitcher tonight. Nelson pitches better against opposing right-handed batters compared to opposing lefties. Tampa Bay (L) batters who I like tonight are Austin Meadows, Brandon Lowe, and Joey Wendle. If you don't like the Rays tonight, investing in a Yankees stack with SP Nelson is a viable DFS strategy as well. The Yankees are favored by -160 with a 9.5 O/U.

Other Cash Stacks: Washington Nationals & New York Yankees

Top Plays: Trea Turner, Josh Bell, Austin Meadows, DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres, & Giancarlo Stanton

Top Value: Brandon Lowe, Gio Urshela, Clint Frazier, and Joey Wendle

GPP STACKS

Arizona Diamondbacks (vs. Washington Nationals - SP Max Scherzer)

The Arizona Diamondbacks did very well for us last night against Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals. Arizona demolished Corbin, tagging him for nine earned runs off six hits over two innings pitched. Tonight, Arizona must face Max Scherzer, Washington’s right-handed ace. Scherzer is 0 for 1 over two starts (12.0 IP) with a 3.75 ERA. He is still averaging over a strikeout per inning but the Braves did perform well against Scherzer in his most recent start totaling four earned runs off five hits over six innings pitched. Are the Diamondbacks likely to touch em’ all like they did last night? No. Can they produce as a cheap, low-owned, high-upside stack? Yes, they can. The NBC Sports Edge MLB Optimizer has players including David Peralta, Tim Locastro, Kole Calhoun, and Carson Kelly as optimal GPP plays for tonight‘s eight-game slate. The Diamondbacks are underdogs at +165 with an 8.0 O/U Courtesy of PointsBet.com. In last night's Arizona onslaught, Washington used five bullpen members including, Hudson, Suero, Avilan, Finnigan, and Hand. The Nationals can’t afford another horrid effort from their starter. Although I like the Diamondbacks tonight, make sure to invest in at least minimal shares of Max Scherzer. This is the GPP matchup of the night. Make sure to invest in both sides.
