Krewe des Ambassadeurs

A good story has a conflict between good and evil. The heroes fight against the villains as the audience cheers then on. And so went The Krewe des Ambassadeurs of Minden’s Grand Bal XX: Heroes and Villains. However, there was not much fighting in this story, just a lot of cheering at the Sam's Town Hotel and Casino Friday evening event.

Krewe of Elders

The Krewe of Elders got wild with 'Safari Fever' as they celebrate their Mardi Gras Grande Bal the American Legion Post 14 on the banks of Cross Lake.

Krewe of Centaur

Centaur Reminisces Grand Bal dazzled the crowd with a trip down Mardi Gras memory lane on February 5th at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Thousands filled the streets with hands in the air for the Krewe of Centaur parade on Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport Saturday afternoon. The large parade includes dozens of colorful floats, marching bands and dance troupes.

Krewe of Oceanus

Residents of Southern Hills recently started the Krewe of Oceanus and they held their first ball on February 4th at the Cordaro's Event Center.

The Krewe of Atlas celebrated the Grand Bal IVX "Holidays" Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Shreveport Convention Center.

The krewe aims to combine today’s modern cultural diversity with the time-honored traditions and festivities of Mardi Gras to the Shreveport and Bossier communities.

Their goal is to commit their time and talents to bring Mardi Gras to the masses and being an ally to the nonprofit community worldwide.

Krewe of Justinian

The Krewe of Justinian held its Grand Bal Friday, Jan. 21, at the Riverdome at Horseshoe Casino with the theme was "How Sweet it is". The inspiration for the decorations was from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory stories.

Krewe of Sobek

The Krewe of Sobek went "Down on Da Bayou" this year, with a fun party theme, and exciting parade.

A year ago Krewe of Sobek member Myra Robinson started buying the decorations for her two tables at the 2022 Sobek Grande Bal, At the party, there were party favor bags that had a painting from local artist Wendell Wilson printed on them. The centerpieces were creations spotlighting the cypress tree. Each guest was given a brochure filled with Louisianan information, including a section on Zydeco musicians. All this was to ensure that her guests got an authentic taste of cajun culture and share in her love of the Krewe of Sobek.

Krewe of Harambee

The Krewe of Harambee MLK Day parade brought people out in the cold to Downtown Shreveport to catch beads and watch the Grambling State University Tiger Band.
