Tauchman's amazing catch first on walk-off since 2019 originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Mike Tauchman stole a win from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night, as he leapt into the air at Dodger Stadium and robbed a walk-off home run from Albert Pujols. The catch kept the game tied and sent it to extra innings, where the Giants managed to get an 8-5 win, the team's first win of the season over their bitter rivals from LA.

The amazing catch from Tauchman marked the first time a walk-off home run has been robbed since 2019, when Jackie Bradley Jr. did it in a game between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles.

The catch not only gave the Giants their first win over the division rivals, but salvaged what was a well-played game all around that the team nearly lost after Austin Barnes tied things up in the bottom of the ninth with a three-run home run.

Tauchman has played solid defense and hit a couple of home runs in a Giants uniform since coming over from the Yankees in a late-April trade.

The Giants will hope to keep the momentum going Saturday as Logan Webb takes the mound against Julio Urias and the Dodgers.
