Mike Hilton recruits Patrick Peterson to Bengals

Near the start of NFL free agency’s legal tampering opening, cornerback Patrick Peterson suggested he would like to join the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton saw it and pounced on the idea.

Hilton immediately took to Twitter and put a simple message over the video of Peterson saying he likes the Bengals.

And Peterson would indeed be a good fit in Hilton’s secondary. Chidobe Awuzie continues to rehab a season-ending injury and both Eli Apple and Tre Flowers are currently free agents.

Peterson might be 33 soon, but he still graded well in coverage. As a rotational guy — never mind mentor for Cam Taylor-Britt — it doesn’t get much better.

The whole situation speaks to Cincinnati’s status as a contender, with high-profile ring-chasers wanting to join up and current Bengals like Hilton more than willing to welcome them with open arms.
