Corey Robinson analyzes Mikal Bridges' remarkable play since joining the Brooklyn Nets, and explains why Bridges' draft stock is skyrocketing for next season

- The Phoenix Suns had to give up something big in order to land Kevin Durant. While Mikal Bridges was in the midst of the best season of his NBA career before the trade that sent him and Cameron Johnson to Brooklyn, few expected the offensive explosion we've seen since. In his first three games with the Nets, Bridges averaged 25.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 2.7 three pointers in 33.0 minutes, shooting 54.0% from the field and 86.7% from the foul line.

Those numbers have been good for top 25 value in nine [? cad ?] formats over the last week, and that includes his explosion in a February 15 win over the Heat, shooting 17 for 24 from the field and seven for seven from the foul line. Bridges scored a career high 45 points to go along with eight rebounds, five assists, two steals, two blocks, and four three pointers. Viewed as a solid middle round option in drafts with a Yahoo ADP of 59 before this season began, Bridges is unlikely to get out of the third round next Fall.
