Middleweight champion Jermall Charlo was arrested Friday after allegedly assaulting a family member or household member after having a previous conviction, according to ESPN.

The incident reportedly took place in September, according to TMZ. Charlo is accused of "punching or grabbing" a man who is classified as a family member or member of Charlo's household.

Charlo was arrested Friday afternoon and remained in police custody Friday night, per ESPN. His bail is set at $10,000.

It's Charlo's second arrest in the past seven months. Charlo was arrested in August due to three felony robbery warrants. Those charges were dismissed in February due to insufficient evidence.

Charlo, who is 32-0 with 22 knockouts, was rumored to be in the running for a bout against Canelo Alvarez in May. Alvarez is reportedly looking to fight Dmitry Bivol instead, according to ESPN.
