Veteran broadcaster Mickey Dearstone will be inducted into the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame.

Dearstone, the longtime voice of Lady Vols’ basketball, will be inducted into the hall at a ceremony on Aug. 24 at the Knoxville Convention Center.

He has been behind the microphone for the Lady Vol Network for 22 seasons.

Deerstone formerly worked at WNML-FM, where he served as program director and hosted the radio station’s morning sports talk show until 2017.

During his tenure with the Lady Vols, he has covered three head coaches, Pat Summitt, Holly Warlick and Kellie Harper.

Dearstone is one of 10 inductees in the 2021 Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame’s class.
