Michigan State football missing Jalen Nailor, Jarrett Horst vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

·1 min read

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Michigan State football appears to be without wide receiver Jalen Nailor, left tackle Jarrett Horst and defensive tackle Simeon Barrow, among others, for Saturday’s showdown against Ohio State.

However, linebacker Quavaris Crouch showed up on the sideline as the No. 8 Spartans (9-1, 7-1 Big Ten) finished their warmups for the noon kickoff against No. 4 Buckeyes (9-1, 8-0).

Nailor, a junior who injured his right hand late in the first half against Michigan, is wearing his jersey and sweatpants, with a black cast on his forearm and fingers during warmups. He has missed the loss at Purdue and last week’s win over Maryland, as did Horst for an unspecified “medical” reason according to coach Mel Tucker.

Barrow was ejected early in the third quarter of a 40-29 loss Nov. 6 at Purdue for a targeting penalty, but he did not dress in last week’s 40-21 victory over the Terrapins.

Crouch also did not dress against Maryland. He did not participate in warmups Saturday but came out late wearing a brace on his right knee. It is unclear if he will play.

Others who are not in uniform for MSU include cornerback Charles Brantley, receiver Ricky White, quarterback Noah Kim, tight end Powers Warren and offensive lineman Matt Carrick.

Freshman Hamp Fay is dressed and will be the Spartans’ third quarterback with Kim not making the trip. MSU also has cornerback Khary Crump active, the first time the redshirt freshman and Arizona transfer has gone to a road game this season.
