Michigan State football lands 10th transfer in Louisville CB Marqui Lowery Jr.

Mel Tucker continues to bring in more transfers to Michigan State football.

Former Louisville cornerback Marqui Lowery Jr. announced via Twitter on Saturday he has committed to the Spartans. He was part of the Cardinals’ 2020 recruiting class but did not play last fall.

The 6-foot, 168-pound native of Charlotte, North Carolina, was a 3-star prospect out of Zebulon Vance High according to 247Sports.com's composite rankings.

Lowery is the 10th inbound transfer to MSU since Tucker’s 2-5 debut season ended Dec. 12.

Five of them arrived for spring semester — defensive back Kendall Brooks (Division II North Greenville, S.C.), offensive lineman Jarrett Horst (Arkansas State), defensive end Drew Jordan (Duke), quarterback Anthony Russo (Temple) and running back Kenneth Walker III (Wake Forest). A sixth, DB Spencer Rowland (Division III Wheaton, Ill.) arrived as a walk-on.
