Game notes: San Diego State, picked by Mountain West Conference media members to finish second in the league, is led offensively by guards Matt Bradley (13 points per game) and Trey Pulliam (10.9). The Aztecs have played solid defense, allowing just 57.9 points per game (tied for 22nd in the nation). They're 4-1 in their last five, losing last week to Syracuse before beating Long Beach State on Tuesday.
Michigan has lost two of three, both defeats coming in blowout fashion — in Las Vegas to Arizona then in Chapel Hill to North Carolina. Eli Brooks leads the team with 15 points and is shooting 49.3% from the field.
The Aztecs play Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday at home while the Wolverines play Tuesday at Nebraska.
