Game notes: Michigan basketball opens its season with high turnover and high expectations. Gone are Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers, Chaundee Brown and Mike Smith. Returning are Hunter Dickinson, Eli Brooks and a host of role players. Impressive freshmen Caleb Houstan and Moussa Diabate are expected to play a big role if the Wolverines want to return to the top of the Big Ten and DeVante' Jones (last year's Sun Belt Player of the Year) could be a key transfer, much like Smith was last season. Buffalo is no slouch, though. The Bulls are a projected NCAA tournament team returning their top scorer in Jeenathan Williams (17.6 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game last season) and top rebounder Josh Mballa (15.3 points, 10.8 rebounds). Look for them to provide a solid test for U-M's first game and to be one of the top teams in the Mid-American Conference this season.
