Michigan basketball signs 4 commits: Highlights of Big Ten's top-ranked 2022 class
Four Michigan basketball recruits have become full-fledged commitments.
Gregg Glenn, Jett Howard, Dug McDaniel and Tarris Reed Jr. signed their national letters of intent as members of the Wolverines 2022 recruiting class, the program announced Saturday. Each of the players is a four-star prospect.
The group is ranked, according to 247Sports, the first in the Big Ten and sixth in the country, one spot ahead of Ohio State, which has four four-star commits and one three-star commit.

Three of U-M's signees are ranked within the top 60 of 247Sports Composite player rankings.
Michigan (1-0) plays Praire View A&M at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Gregg Glenn
Glenn, who played at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, chose the Wolverines in October among a top five that included Georgia, Virginia Tech, Iona and South Florida. Glenn, at 6 feet 7, 215 pounds, held scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Florida State. He now plays at Link Academy in Missouri.
His highlights show nice shooting, passing and ball-handling skills for a player his size, along with the willingness to play in the paint.
The No. 103 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings, Glenn took an official visit to Ann Arbor the weekend of Sept. 18.
Jett Howard
Head coach Juwan Howard's son Jett is a 6-7, 220-pound wing. Jett played for highly touted IMG Academy and fielded offers from Florida, Tennessee, LSU, North Carolina State and Georgetown, among others.
Jett is the highest-rated prospect in the class. The 247Sports Composite rates him as No. 36 in the class, just ahead of Tarris Reed.
"He has a strong frame, a solid motor on the defensive end, and can knock down down the open jumper with range," according to 247Sports. "His versatility is mainly displayed in his ability to help out at the point guard position in a pinch. ... However, he will be more effective in a secondary supportive ball-handling role because of his efficiency as a three-point shooter while playing off the ball."

Dug McDaniel
McDaniel is a 5-9, 155-pound guard whose offer list included Florida, LSU and Penn State. He also plays for Team Takeover on the AAU circuit — the same team that Hunter Dickinson and Terrance Williams played for.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No. 60 overall recruit and the No. 8 point guard.
His AAU highlights show a good passer who can push the ball in transition and hit jumpers off the bounce. He even flashed a dunk:
Tarris Reed
Reed committed to the Wolverines in August. He picked Michigan over three other finalists: Michigan State, Ohio State (which added a commitment from center Felix Okpara, Reed's AAU teammate) and Purdue. He also reportedly held offers from Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Kansas.
The 6-9, 230-pound big man is ranked No. 38 overall, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the No. 8 center.
A couple recruiting analysts have said the past few weeks that his stock is rising and he could be considered among the best bigs in his class.
