Michigan athletics going to mobile tickets for all sporting events, with one exception

The Michigan athletic department are going digital only with the tickets to its events. Mostly.

U-M announced on Tuesday that it will begin to distribute tickets through "contactless mobile delivery" beginning this fall.

Fans who buy tickets will access them through digital wallets or smartphone devices, ending print-at-home tickets.

The lone exception will be for football returning season ticket holders, who retain the option to get tickets printed.

U-M also announced it will debut a new Michigan Athletics app this summer, with which fans can access tickets, to.

In accordance with Whitmer's latest order, all U-M athletic events can return to full capacity, starting in the fall. The department also stated that, for now, it will continue to follow its face covering policy that "requires masks indoors, on university transportation and outdoors if in groups of 100 or more."
