Michelle Pfeiffer has showed off her natural beauty in a candid, make-up selfie.

The 61-year-old actor shared a picture of her face, in which she wears not a scrap of makeup, with her one million followers on Instagram.

In the photo, she wears a simple, black cowl-neck jumper together with a single hoop earring (it’s not possible to see if there’s a pair) from Jennifer Fisher jewellery.

Her hair appears unstyled, tousled in pretty waves, and flicked to one side.

Typically, Pfeiffer, who joined Instagram in January this year, sports natural-look makeup, including dark eyeliner, glowing skin, a subtle blush and a pink gloss lip.

The candid post has received a shining response on social media.

”You make me look forward to ageing,” commented one follower, while another wrote, “You are such a natural beauty. Love the photo.”

Supermodel Naomi Campbell simply posted a flame emoji.

For those looking to channel Pfeiffer’s youthful look, the star has previously shared her wellness regime.

But – word of warning – it’s fairly extreme, and includes both 3am wake-ups and restrictive diets.

In an interview with The Sunday Times Style supplement, Pfeiffer revealed she has followed a number of trendy diets in the past: “I went through a vegan phase,” she tells the publication, adding that she is now “paleoish”.

As for exercise, Pfeiffer says she dabbles in “a bit of yoga [and] a bit of Pilates” as well as walking, running and biking.

She is also a morning person, waking “with the sunrise” – a quality which is typically associated with a lower BMI, according to science.

However, she hasn’t always been so virtuous. She told People magazine in 1999: “I did nothing beauty-wise. I smoked cigarettes, ate whatever I wanted and used bar soap on my face. People were horrified by how I treated my skin.”
