Michael Irvin predicts Kirk Cousins to break NFL record vs the Packers

·1 min read

It’s not often that you see a player break a single-game NFL anymore but Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin predicted that Kirk Cousins will do just that during Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

With a new offensive scheme brought in by head coach Kevin O’Connell, tthe hope is that the Vikings 11th-ranked scoring offense from 2021 will improve and help take this team to a new level.

In Sunday’s game, Irvin predicted Cousins to break the long-standing single-game touchdown pass record.

Asking Cousins to throw eight touchdowns is a huge ask. The feat of seven touchdowns has been accomplished a few times in the college ranks but only eight times in the NFL with the most recent by Drew Brees in 2015.

The Vikings will likely try to air it out against the Packers on Sunday afternoon and show off the new aggressive offense that features a very talented group of receivers.

Buckle up everyone, this is going to be a fun ride.
