Miami Dolphins exercise Tua Tagovailoa’s fifth-year option

The rumors have swirled all off-season about what could happen at the Miami Dolphins quarterback position. There have been rumors of Tom Brady coming to town and of the Dolphins wanting to move off of Tua Tagovailoa, but it is all just noise.

The Dolphins have officially exercised Tagovailoa’s fifth-year option and he will have at least two more seasons in Miami. Under the management of Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins have surrounded Tagovailoa with talent and schemes that best suits his style of play.

Tagovailoa has experienced some injury history during his time in the league, but when he has been on the field he has been nearly as good as anyone at the position. The former Crimson Tide signal-caller got to Miami to the playoffs despite missing some games in the second half of the season.

Between Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa, Mac Jones and potentially Aaron Rodgers, the AFC East is now an absolute gauntlet.
