As Tyronn Lue possibly gets ready to maybe accept a contract offer to coach the Los Angeles Lakers, another former Lakers player has coaching on his mind.

Metta World Peace tweeted about coaching on Tuesday night, and — surprise! — he thinks he’d be amazing at it. Actually, he doesn’t just think he’d be amazing at it, he knows he would be. So amazing that he’s absolutely positive that he’d win an NBA title.

From what he said in that tweet, it seems like Metta only started thinking about this because he had a debate with an unidentified person (possibly in real life and not on Twitter) about being an NBA coach. But it must have really gotten to him, because he fired off another three tweets about why he should be an NBA coach, and why teams should consider hiring him.

The tweets read as a combination résumé-cover letter for a job he’s applying for. After his initial tweet, he wrote about his previous experience: high school coaching and the Drew League.

He knows exactly what he wants to do! And as he says here, don’t sleep on Metta World.

The casual “Anyway, catch me coaching locally in LA” would be a fantastic sign-off to his “Metta World Peace for coach” campaign, but he had a little more left to say.

“You wanna win or what” belongs on T-shirts and bumper stickers across the land. Metta doesn’t lack for self confidence at all. He knows who he is and what he wants to do. He even closes with “I’m dope and that’s that.” Legend!

If this is how Metta is going to coach an NBA team, it clearly has to happen. Just so the world can see and bear witness to the Metta coaching experience. Some team out there has to give him a chance.
