The Mets (11-12) continue a four-game series against the Cardinals (17-12) in St. Louis on Tuesday night at 7:45 on SNY.

Mets Notes

  • Ace Jacob deGrom has been scratched from Tuesday's start due to right side tightness.

  • Reliever Miguel Castro will start in deGrom's place, though the Mets will likely make a roster move before first pitch to add a pitcher (possibly Jordan Yamamoto) to their bullpen.

  • This will be the Mets first game since hitting coach Chili Davis and assistant hitting coach Tom Slater were relived of their duties Monday night.

  • Per Luis Rojas, Brandon Nimmo (left index finger contusion) swung a bat Tuesday and is "a lot better." The club will see how he gets through pre-game to determine his availability off the bench.
