  • Sunday's starter, Jose Butto, pitched to a 3.64 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in nine games (seven starts) last season

  • Francisco Alvarez makes his 2024 spring training game debut on Sunday. Last season, Alvarez mashed 25 home runs and drove in 63 RBI in his first full season in the big leagues.

  • Mark Vientos gets the start at third base a day after being the Mets' DH in their Grapefruit League opener. Vientos made seven starts at the hot corner in 2023 with the Mets.

  • Alex Ramirez gets the start in right field after picking up two hits in the Mets' spring training opener on Saturday off the bench. Ramirez went 4-for-20 last spring training and is already on pace to surpass those numbers this spring.

  • The Mets will take on RHP Brandon Bielak. The 27-year-old went 5-6 with a 3.83 ERA in 15 games (13 starts) with the Astros last season.
