For the first time since Sept. 29, 2019, Noah Syndergaard was on a mound pitching in a real game. And during his outing with the St. Lucie Mets (Low-A), he looked much like his old self.

Syndergaard was perfect through three innings, and let up a double in the bottom of the fourth to give up his first, and only, hit. He would get the next batter out and complete his start.

Overall, "Thor" went four innings, allowing no runs and just one hit while striking out five. He also threw 36 strikes out of his 44 pitches.

The Mets can't ask for a better first outing from Syndergaard, who has been working hard to get game ready after undergoing Tommy John Surgery last year.

Syndergaard's potential return date is mid-June.
