SNY's Andy Martino will be responding to and breaking down answers to Mets questions from readers. Here's the latest...

@RCsquared18: How long after the season ends do you think we get resolution with the front office and coaching staff?

Coaching staff, pretty quickly. Front office, a bit longer.

The Mets will have to make announcements on Luis Rojas and the coaches very soon after the season ends -- in part because contracts expire on October 31, and in part because candidates for president of baseball operations will likely want to know that they will have a relatively blank slate to begin with.

I’m not saying that absolutely everyone in uniform will be gone, but I am saying I’ll be surprised if we don’t see an announcement about multiple departures in the close aftermath of the final game.

The front office will take a little longer, because of the process of obtaining permission to speak to candidates and then selecting one. It’s a lot quicker to decide against renewing an existing contract than to make an important hire.

The new president of baseball ops, whoever that turns out to be, would then select a GM, manager, and coaching staff. By then we could easily be into November.
