MLB Pipeline announced their list of the Top 25 prospects who played in the 2021 Arizona Fall League, and Mets prospect Brett Baty came in at No. 3 on the list.

According to MLB Pipeline’s Jonathan Mayo, the list was compiled with feedback from scouts who were on-hand to evaluate the talent in Arizona.

Baty, who slashed .292/.373/.404, came in behind only Blue Jays top prospect C Gabriel Moreno and Pirates No. 4 prospect Nick Gonzales. Beyond just Baty’s pure numbers, the MLB Pipeline list lauded Baty’s ability to hit the ball hard consistently and play solid defense at third base.

The 22-year-old Baty, draft by the Mets in the first round of the 2019 draft, is currently ranked as the No.2 prospect in the Mets’ farm system behind Francisco Alvarez and the No. 45 prospect in all of baseball.

In 2021, Baty split his time between High-A Brooklyn and Double-A Binghamton, combining to slash .292/.382/.473 with 12 homers and 56 RBI.
