Memphis basketball score vs. North Alabama: Live updates for Penny Hardaway's team

The Memphis basketball team won consecutive games for the first time this season when it stymied Stanford last week after beating Nebraska at the ESPN Events Invitational.

Now, the Tigers (4-2) will try to make it three straight wins when Penny Hardaway's team hosts North Alabama (4-3) at FedExForumon Wednesday. The Lions are coming off back-to-back losses to UC Santa Barbara and Georgia Tech. They also lost to Mississippi Valley State this season, a team that is second-to-last in the KenPom rankings.

Hardaway recently called the matchup a "trap game" since Memphis has a big game vs. Ole Miss scheduled for Saturday. He also said he hopes his Tigers will treat preparation for North Alabama the same way they would if they were preparing to face No. 1 Houston.
