The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a bold move in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft, trading their fourth-round selection in the 2023 draft to make sure they landed one of the best athletes in this year’s class.

Sam Houston State cornerback Zyon McCollum was flying under the radar until he dominated at the NFL Scouting Combine, putting up some of the best testing numbers the event has ever seen.

The Bucs needed quality depth at the position, as well as some special teams help, and when McCollum was still on the board in the fifth round, they wisely made the move to grab him.
