Meet Team USA’s next big star: Ice dancer Madison Chock

Madison Chock is only 25, but she’s been competing for over 20 years. If you feel like she and partner Evan Bates have some special chemistry, it’s because they do. They began dating at the end of 2016, more than five years after becoming partners on the ice.

Madison has a great relationship with the other American women of skating, with whom she toured as part of ‘Stars on Ice.’ She’s pictured here bonding with fellow Olympians (left to right): Gracie Gold (Sochi), Meryl Davis (Vancouver & Sochi), Ashley Wagner (Sochi & PyeongChang) and Madison Hubbell (PyeongChang).

She’s also tight with fellow Team USA star Adam Rippon, even posting a ‘Flashback Friday’ series of photos with the 28-year-old skater dating all the way back to when they were still junior skaters.

he and Evan skate year round and are constantly training, but as elite winter sports athletes, it’s a requirement that they stay on top of what’s happening in the North. Winter is coming, after all.

Madison and Evan have a few cute puppies that they love. And by cute, I mean really cute.

No seriously, can you stand the cuteness?

I promise I’ll get back to the skating but it felt wrong not to include this. YODA PUPPY. Come on!

Madison maintains a connection to her Hawaiian heritage, which she gets from her dad. In this photo she’s celebration World Oceans Day, and she encouraged others to cut down on waste and educate on how to help save oceanlife.

She and Evan placed 3rd at the U.S. Championship in January, and in PyeongChang they’ll look to avenge their 8th place performance from Sochi in 2014.

Madison and Evan weren’t dating back when they competed together in Sochi. Perhaps their chemistry off the ice will translate into a medal-winning performance on it. They’ll first take the ice on Sunday, Feb 11th to compete in the short dance.
