Maxi Kleber (health and safety protocol) is out for the Mavericks on Wednesday. Josh Richardson, Dwight Powell and Dorian Finney-Smith are listed as questionable, but the Mavs list Finney-Smith and Richardson as probable starters against the Jazz.
For Utah, Trent Forrest (health and safety protocol) and Elijah Hughes (ankle) missed Tuesday’s game. Donovan Mitchell has been placed into concussion protocol and is also out.

Advice and prediction
The Mavericks lineup should be bolstered by the return of Finney-Smith, Richardson and Powell, but there could be some rhythm issues as the Mavs work their key players back into the rotation.
Mitchell’s admission into concussion protocol is a big loss for the Jazz, who will now need to replace their leading scorer. Mitchell’s status has caused a sizable line swing, as the Jazz opened as a four-point favorite.
Even without Mitchell in the lineup, it’s hard to bet against the Jazz here. They’re a top-5 team in the league in both offensive and defensive efficiency, and have the best record against the spread in the NBA at 12-5. The Mavericks have not won a game in Salt Lake City since 2016, and I like the Jazz to continue their streak and cover a shrinking spread here. Take the Jazz -2.5.
