Brandon Plummer is the new Head Boys Basketball Coach at Maury High School in Norfolk.

Plummer follows Jack Baker, who announced his retirement last month after a 41-year career and 746 victories - third most in VHSL history.

As a player, Plummer helped Booker T. Washington win a state title in 2006 as a starting guard. He went on to play at the college level at Norfolk State University as well as Wingate, where he helped the team capture a conference title and reach the Elite Eight in the NCAA Division II Tournament.

This past year, Plummer was an assistant coach with Baker after spending the previous four years as an assistant at his alma mater under Darren Sanderlin, who he played for at Booker T. Washington.
