The Warriors' new jerseys have the seal of approval from Matt Barnes.

On Monday, the Warriors announced that they will wear new "Oakland Forever" City Edition jerseys beginning in the 2020-21 NBA season, and they were well-received by Dub Nation.

The jerseys are a tribute to the Warriors' former home, and the 2006-07 "We Believe" squad remains one of the most popular in franchise history.

Barnes, who was part of those "We Believe" Warriors, was asked for his thoughts on the new jerseys during Thursday's episode of "The Jump" on ESPN.

"I love it. I love it," Barnes told host Rachel Nichols. "One thing I realized when I got to go back for that 2017 championship run is that there's still so much love for that team there. Not only by the city but by current players. Steph [Curry], [Kevin Durant], Klay [Thompson], Draymond [Green], they were all with the "We Believe" movement.

"So I think it's a great move and a great honor because they lost a tremendous fan base moving from -- although it's not far -- that Oakland crowd is going to be a lot different than the crowd at that San Francisco stadium."

Barnes and the "We Believe" Warriors ended a 12-year playoff drought for the franchise by claiming the No. 8 seed in 2007. Instead of just rolling over against the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks, Golden State pulled off the massive upset, winning the series in six games. They would lose to the Utah Jazz in the second round of the playoffs, but they had left their mark on The Town.

After spending 47 seasons playing in Oakland, the Warriors moved across the Bay to Chase Center last season.

The "Oakland Forever" jerseys show that the Warriors aren't forgetting about their roots, and Barnes is a big fan of the move.
