Maryland defensive lineman will enter transfer portal, could be big USC target
Anthony “Tank” Booker Jr., a 6-foot-4, 320-pound senior who is rising up various player ranking lists, notched 25 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and a pass deflection this past season.
The former Maryland Terrapin chose the Terps over Cincinnati, Kansas, Toledo, Nothern Illinois and Akron in 2019. Booker, a native of Ohio Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati, was a three-star prospect and the No. 60 strongside defensive end in the country in the 2019 class.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound defensive lineman showed versatility and promise at Maryland and could be a potential prospect for the Trojans this spring.
USC currently has the No. 3-ranked 2023 transfer portal recruiting class, per 247Sports.com.
USC added Purdue edge rusher Jack Sullivan and former Texas A&M defensive lineman Anthony Lucas as well, but it could always use more depth up front especially on the interior of the defensive line.
