SACRAMENTO -- Practice ran long Monday afternoon, forcing the Kings to push back their scheduled flight to Phoenix. Coach Dave Joerger said the team was working on basics in an attempt to shore up some of the mistakes it made over the last few games.

When media entered the practice facility, though, Marvin Bagley III was noticeably missing from the floor. We now have an update on his condition.

According to the team, the 19-year-old big man underwent a precautionary MRI, which revealed "nothing of concern." Bagley will miss Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Suns and is listed as day-to-day.

The rookie injured his lower back during the Kings' loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, and he missed Saturday's win over the Indiana Pacers with lower back spasms.

Selected with the No. 2 overall pick in 2018 NBA Draft, Bagley is averaging 13 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 24.1 minutes per game for Sacramento.

Over his previous six games, Bagley appeared to find a groove with the Kings' second unit, posting 16.3 points and 10 rebounds per game. In the rookie's absence, Joerger turned to veteran Kosta Koufos against Indiana for the reserve minutes at center.

The Kings will face a struggling Suns team that sits 4-19 on the season. They'll be without Devin Booker, their leading scorer, who injured his hamstring in Sunday's loss to the Lakers.

Phoenix's second leading scorer, T.J. Warren, is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury.
