Markelle Fultz has returned to Philadelphia, but he’s not ready to return to the 76ers just yet. The 20-year-old will continue rehabbing his shoulder at Sixers facilities with the goal of returning before the end of the season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Fultz has been sidelined since late November after being diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome. He left the team in December to begin his rehab in California. The team kept tabs on Fultz’s progress, according to Wojnarowski.

Though Fultz has returned to Philadelphia, there’s still no timetable for his return. He will attend Saturday’s game and watch the 76ers take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Fultz’s career has been marred by injuries and ineffectiveness. He played in just 14 games during his rookie season due to a shoulder injury. Fultz had to rebuild his shot during this time, leading to some unflattering videos of Fultz shooting free throws.

Fultz opened the 2018-2019 season as one of the 76ers’ starters, but lost his starting spot to JJ Reddick. Shortly after that, Fultz was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome and left the team to start rehabbing. He’s averaging 8.2 points and 3.1 assists per game.
