Mark Cuban Joins Streaming Platform MasterClass

Billionaire investor and entrepreneur Mark Cuban is onto his next business venture after selling his majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks in November.

The Shark Tank host has partnered with MasterClass, an online streaming platform that allows celebrities and executives the opportunity to teach courses to the public. Other famous personalities on the platform include actor Samuel L. Jackson, chef Gordon Ramsey, tennis star Serena Williams and comedian Kevin Hart.

In the video classes, Cuban will demonstrate how to make informed decisions and think through them the same way he deliberates on a Shark Tank investment.

“People fail in business because they don’t know what they’re doing,” Cuban said in a news release. “I partnered with MasterClass because I want members to meet and exceed every goal in business they’ve ever had..”

The course promises to provide insight into Cuban’s sale of the Mavericks and explain why he is staying on as president of basketball operations. Cuban will also discuss the workings of Cost Plus Drugs, which Cuban founded, and detail why he will never run for president of the United States.

Cuban bought the Mavericks in 2000 for $285 million and sold a majority stake to the Adelson family late last year at a valuation of $3.5 billion. The team is now worth $4 billion, according to Sportico’s most recent NBA valuations.
