As Trail Blazers forward Mario Hezonja has been sheltering in place in Portland amid the COVID-19 outbreak, a massive earthquake hit his home city and surrounding towns of Zagreb, Croatia this weekend.
The Croatian capital was hit by 5.3 magnitude earthquake over the weekend.
"All of this happening in the world and now my city gets hit like this," Hezonja wrote on his Twitter account.

Luckily, very few people were on the streets when the earthquake struck in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Fallen bricks and stones from Zagreb's historic buildings crushed parked cars and blocked roadways. There have been reports of one death due to the magnitude of the earthquake.
