Marcus Smart looks back on his time with the Boston Celtics in recent interview

In a recent interview with NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin, former Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart discussed his current situation with the Memphis Grizzlies and reflected on his time in Boston. Despite not being able to play due to a sprained ankle, Smart remains optimistic and takes each day as it comes.

As much as the trade stung, Smart made peace with things at his wedding in California this summer, where all his former Boston teammates attended. They reminisced and said their goodbyes, providing Smart with a sense of closure. When asked about his legacy in Boston, Smart hopes to be remembered as a dedicated player who gave his all for the team.

Despite the trade, Smart still holds love for Boston and considers it a place close to his heart.
