The former Heisman Trophy Winner and his Motiv8 Foundation are partnering with Sweet Cheeks Winery in Eugene to create two variants of wine with all proceeds going to local organizations helping the community during the pandemic, per Hawaii News Now.
Director of the Motiv8 Foundation, Ed Nishioka said in a statement the project aims to assist "underserved communities in Oregon."
"We are very excited to partner with such a community minded company as Sweet Cheeks Winery." Nishioka said. "The Mariota family and Motiv8 are dedicated to helping the underserved communities in Oregon. Our partnership with Sweet Cheeks is a real boost in assisting us with our mission. We look forward to helping the community with Sweet Cheeks now and in the future."
The two variants of wine will go live on September 1st online, while supplies last, including a 2018 pinot gris for $30 and a 2018 pinot noir for $40.
We at NBC Sports NW have a recommendation though, Marcus. Perhaps for your second wine, maybe consider naming it "The Flyin' Ha-Wine-an"
