How many Super Bowl rings have the Kansas City Chiefs won in red?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the designated Super Bowl LVIII home team, the Kansas City Chiefs get to choose the color they play in against the San Francisco 49ers.

AFC and NFC alternate as the Super Bowl home team each year, and it looks like the Chiefs will wear red on top in the NFL’s biggest game for the fourth time ever.

Philadelphia chose to wear green in Super Bowl LVII and the Chiefs went on to win their first championship in white tops. It was also KC’s first time wearing red pants in a Super Bowl.

Kansas City wore all white in 1967 against Green Bay in the Super Bowl I loss. Three years later Len Dawson and company beat the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV wearing the classic red jerseys and white pants.

As the designated home team in 2020, the Chiefs wore red on top and white on bottom to capture their first Super Bowl in 50 years against none other than the 49ers.

The following year the Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to don their white jerseys in Super Bowl LV. Tom Brady won his seventh ring while Patrick Mahomes wore the previously undefeated red and white uniform.

Now the Chiefs have a chance to get back in the win column wearing red.
