Manchester Kings hockey team takes third straight

Feb. 12—The Manchester high school hockey team is on a roll.

The Kings received two goals from Frank Tessier and a shutout performance from goalie Cam Velez to blank Nashua South-Pelham 7-0 on Monday at Conway Arena in Nashua. The victory was Manchester's third straight and improved its Division I record to 7-6.

Six players scored for the Kings. Tessier was joined on the score sheet by Jake Lessard, Lukas Tafe, Ryan Marden, Joey Velez and Andrew McLaughlin. Tafe added three assists.

On Sunday, Manchester beat 2023 state finalist Bedford 4-1 at Saint Anselm's Sullivan Arena. Tafe led the way with two goals and an assist, and Tessier and Joey Velez added goals. McLaughlin had two assists. Cam Velez made 29 saves in the win.

Dom Tagliafero scored for Bedford (6-7).
