The tale of the man who was arrested for breaking and entering the home of Los Angeles Rams receiver Robert Woods has taken a turn. Police have linked the 19-year-old to recent break-ins at the homes of other Los Angeles celebrities, including the Dodgers’ Yasiel Puig, Rihanna and Christina Milian.
Woods was playing a game against the Minnesota Vikings last Thursday night when police received a tip about a break-in at his home. Security video showed three hooded individuals in the home.
Police detained Tyess Williams not far from Woods’ home, and a search of his vehicle included not only items from Woods’ home, but items allegedly from the homes of Puig, Rihanna and Milian. The Los Angeles Times reported that Williams matches an image taken from security video at Puig’s home.
Like Woods, Puig was robbed while he was on the field during a game. Puig has suffered four burglaries, including two in September. In March 2017, Puig was robbed of at least $170,000 in jewelry, and suffered another break-in during Game 7 of the World Series.
The Times noted that a raft of celebrity burglaries have taken place in the area over the past year, with Wiz Khalifa, Post Malone, Alanis Morrisette, and NBA guard Nick Young all suffering break-ins at homes or former homes.
